Favorite “After Tarot” Scenes

  • by

The After Tarot by Corinne Kenner, Pietro Alligo, and Giulia Francesca Massaglia is so fascinating! The whole theme revolves around showing what happens moments after the scene depicted in the original RWS deck. It reminds me of what I keep telling my querents in their tarot readings: You’ll only get what you want AFTER you’ve put in all the effort to get it.

Here are my 5 favorites thus far:

1. The woman and the lion in Strength snuggling

My interpretation: You can only master the wilder, leonine aspect of you only after approaching it with loving acceptance.

2. The lovers in Two of Cups embracing

My interpretation: You can only receive loving acceptance from your lover after you offer it.

3. The man in Seven of Wands pouncing on his attackers like a goddamn champ

My interpretation: Banzai!!! You can only succeed after you actually leap into action.

4. The pierced heart in Three of Swords all bandaged up

My interpretation: You can only mend your heart after actually pulling out the blades impaling it.

5. The fearful figure in Nine of Swords bravely wielding a blade

My interpretation: Your fears and inner demons will only stop hounding you after muster the courage to face them.

The key lesson from all of these cards really is that there will always be scenarios that are beyond your control, and the outcome will not always be as you desire. But if you don’t take any action toward your goal today, where do you think you’ll be after that?
