El Tarocchi Insight
Five of Cups reminds you to not lose track of what remains intact.
Something I’ve observed over two decades of tarot reading is that the Five of Cups tends to appear when a tarot client is so focused on what went wrong that they’ve stopped noticing what’s still intact. The grief is real and valid; this card doesn’t dismiss that. But when it comes out, I remind clients that wallowing in the loss indefinitely isn’t processing it. It’s always good to feel your feelings and wallow in sorrow for a while; that’s all part of the healing process. But at the end of the day, you have to gather your strength to look up at what remains and move forward.
