Tarot Card Meanings:
The Major Arcana

The Major Arcana are the 22 trump cards in a traditional tarot deck. They are also known as the “greater arcanum” or “secret arcanum”. These cards represent the major stages of human life, from birth to death, and the archetypes that we all share. When they appear in a reading, they usually signify “big picture” things that affect a querent’s life beyond the topic/question  specified. Each card has its own unique meaning and can be interpreted in a variety of ways.
