These glow-ups tho! There’s so much to love about the Tarot of the Golden Wheel by Mila Losenko, and I especially love these evolutions from young Pages, to valiant Knights, to wise old Kings.
Based on their similar hairstyles, clothing, and locations, the four young Pages all grew up to be Knights who then became Kings. This is a fascinating way to depict the differences in maturity levels between these three court cards! And it also shows how much one person can evolve with time and effort.
My favorite among the four sets is the Swords. Setting my bias for the Swords suit aside, I just love the attention to detail in terms of body language. Notice how the Page unsteadily bracing himself against the wind where the Knight rushes headlong into the storm. And then when he becomes King, he confidently sits on his throne in full battle regalia. 💪
